China to Jeddah LCL Sea Freight: 2026 Q4 Rates and Schedule
Chrislion's 2026 Q4 China-Jeddah LCL product
Chrislion Logistics (CSL) has launched a 2026 Q4 LCL product for cargo moving from Shenzhen, China (CNSZX) to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (SAJED). WHL and COSCO provide the capacity. The service operates on a biweekly schedule: one sailing every two weeks.
The product is designed for a market with two pressures. Red Sea freight rates can move by about USD 20 / RT from one week to the next. At the same time, Jeddah port congestion and destination clearance can run slowly during the current Red Sea disruption. The product keeps the route, destination LOCAL structure and document checks in one plan, so the importer can see the cost and requirements before the cargo leaves Shenzhen.
This is a less-than-container-load product, so your cargo does not need a full container. Compare the total cost against FCL before you book. Our LCL shipping service explains consolidation, destination CFS handling and the other steps that apply to a shared container.
Rate note: The product sheet does not publish a fixed ocean base rate. It gives the destination charge structure and a market-volatility range. CSL confirms the base freight, BAF and Red Sea surcharge set for the sailing date you are booking.
Biweekly schedule from Shenzhen to Jeddah
The Q4 product uses a biweekly sailing rhythm. Jeddah is the destination port, and the product sheet identifies WHL / COSCO as the main carriers on the route.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Product | China to Jeddah LCL sea freight |
| Origin | Shenzhen, China (CNSZX) |
| Destination | Jeddah Islamic Port, Saudi Arabia (SAJED), Makkah Province |
| Carriers | WHL / COSCO |
| Sailing frequency | Biweekly; one sailing every two weeks |
| Reference port-to-port transit | 15-28 days from Shenzhen on the direct China-Jeddah range in our Saudi Arabia guide |
| Reference door-to-door LCL transit | 31-43 days; a planning range, not a guaranteed delivery date |
| Confirmed before booking | Vessel, terminal, cut-off and departure date |
The product sheet does not assign fixed vessel names or calendar departure dates. Because the service is biweekly and Red Sea schedules can change, CSL confirms the live vessel, terminal and cut-off before booking.

Jeddah rates and destination LOCAL charges
This is the part of the quote that is easiest to compare across providers. The rates below are the destination charges published in the Q4 product sheet. Ocean base freight and floating surcharges are quoted separately because the Red Sea market changes quickly.
Four fixed LOCAL items
| Charge | Code | Reference rate | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Delivery order | DO | USD 81 / BL | Fixed LOCAL |
| Entry fee | ENTRY | USD 27 / BL | Fixed LOCAL |
| Documentation fee | DOC | USD 54 / BL | Fixed LOCAL |
| Port dues | PORT DUES | USD 10 / TON | Fixed LOCAL |
The product sheet identifies these as the four fixed LOCAL items. It also states that the 15% destination VAT treatment applies to these four items, and that CSL does not add 15% to the full LOCAL total. Compare that treatment with every quote you receive.
Other per-bill items
| Charge | Code | Reference rate | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Handling charge | HANDLING CHARGE | USD 54 / BL | Listed separately in the product sheet |
| Emergency container movement | EMS | USD 4 / BL | Listed separately |
| Electronic data interchange | EDI | USD 20 / BL | Listed separately |
| Container swap and handling | SWAPPING + HANDLING | USD 50 / BL | Listed separately |
The product sheet's per-bill summary is about USD 290 / BL before volume-based items. It lists the four fixed LOCAL items at a reference subtotal of USD 172 / BL. Port dues are charged per ton, so use the subtotal as a planning figure and confirm the final amount against actual tonnage.
Volume-based and floating charges
| Charge | Code | Reference rate | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Destuffing | DESTUFFING CHARGES | USD 30 / RT | Minimum 2 RT |
| Scanning | SCANNING FEE | At cost | Product-sheet reference: USD 160 / 40HQ CBM |
| Bunker adjustment factor | BAF | USD 35 / RT | Moves with Red Sea market pricing |
| War surcharge | WAR SURCHARGE | USD 20 / RT | Variable |
| Exchange-rate adjustment | RHI | USD 3 / RT | Variable |
| Peak season surcharge | PSS | USD 30 / RT | Variable |
| Low-sulphur surcharge | LSS | USD 20 / RT | Variable |
These charges follow cargo volume, container type and Red Sea conditions. The product sheet recommends allowing about USD 20 / RT of market movement when you prepare a budget. Check the live BAF and Red Sea risk premiums before you book.

How the Q4 product compares with other logistics quotes
The product sheet does not name competitor companies. It compares the structure of the destination charge instead. That is the right way to compare forwarders: a low base freight can still produce a higher landed total when the destination items, storage terms or surcharge units are different.
| Comparison point | Chrislion Q4 product | Market comparison in the product sheet |
|---|---|---|
| Destination LOCAL treatment | Four fixed LOCAL items: DO, ENTRY, DOC and PORT DUES | The product sheet says many market quotes add 15% to the total LOCAL charge |
| Per-shipment items | Handling, EMS, EDI and swapping + handling are listed separately | Other providers may group or rename these items |
| Volume-based charges | Destuffing, BAF, WAR, RHI, PSS and LSS follow actual volume and market conditions | Competitor quotes can use different carriers, surcharge levels or units |
| Schedule | Biweekly WHL / COSCO service from Shenzhen | Other forwarders may use a different carrier, frequency or routing |
| Storage | SAR 2,600 / BL (USD 390.39 / BL), then three free days; SAR 35 / RT / day (USD 5.26 / RT / day) after | Storage terms depend on the warehouse, clearance speed and free-time rules |
| Palletizing and VAT | USD 55 / pallet; 15% treatment limited to the four fixed LOCAL items as described in the sheet | The product sheet says many market quotes add 15% to the full LOCAL total |
Ask every provider for the same itemized list: base ocean freight; BAF, war surcharge, PSS and LSS; DO, entry, documentation, handling, port dues and destuffing; scanning; storage; palletizing; VAT treatment; and the cut-off for the sailing you are booking. That makes a like-for-like comparison possible.
CSL can quote the ocean leg, the Jeddah LOCAL items and optional delivery under DDU or DDP. DDU leaves Saudi duty and VAT to the consignee. DDP includes them in the door-to-door price. The consignee and import records still have to meet the bill of lading and SASO requirements in either case.
Jeddah warehouse and storage planning
Jeddah clearance can take longer than the free-storage period in the current market. The product sheet gives the following warehouse terms so the consignee can budget for storage before the cargo arrives.
| Item | Reference | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Destination warehouse fee | SAR 2,600 / BL (USD 390.39 / BL) | Charged at destination |
| Free storage | 3 days | Counted from the destuffing day |
| Overtime storage | SAR 35 / RT / day (USD 5.26 / RT / day) | Applies after the free period |
| Palletizing | USD 55 / pallet | Subject to cargo dimensions and pallet type |
| Destination VAT | 15% | The product sheet limits the VAT treatment to the four fixed LOCAL items |
The sheet says destination clearance usually takes about three days during the current disruption and may run past the three free days. Storage starts from the destuffing day and then costs SAR 35 / RT / day (USD 5.26 / RT / day). Confirm the importer's clearance plan before the vessel arrives.
Bill of lading and cargo checks
Missing data is a common reason for delayed clearance and release. The Q4 product sheet requires the bill of lading and shipment records to include the following details.
| Item | What must be shown or confirmed |
|---|---|
| Consignee details | Name, address, mobile number, email, VAT / TAX ID, commercial registration (CR) number and importer code. The sheet notes that Dammam may not require the importer code on the bill of lading. |
| Vehicle or bicycle cargo | Show the chassis number and keep it consistent with the commercial invoice. |
| Shipping marks | Show the actual marks. The cargo cannot move without marks. |
| HS Code | Show the HS Code on the bill of lading. |
| Bill of lading number | The bill of lading number must not exceed 17 digits. |
| Motorcycles | If a container holds motorcycles, the ocean bill of lading must show every chassis number and the unit weight. |
| SASO certificates | Clearance requires a Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC) and a Shipment Certificate of Conformity (SCoC). |
| Consignee status | The consignee must show a tax number and hold import qualification. |
Confirm these points before the booking closes
- Whether the cargo needs fumigation.
- Whether the cargo needs to be palletized.
- Whether a single piece weighs more than 5 tons or measures more than 5 meters on any side, because the product sheet requires an extra-charge check.
- Whether the consignee has the tax number and import qualification required for clearance.
- Whether the consignee has the SASO PCoC and SCoC ready before the cargo ships.
- Whether motorcycles need chassis numbers and unit weights added to the ocean bill of lading.
- How much Red Sea rate movement to allow for; the product sheet uses about USD 20 / RT.
